About Bold Coast Preserve

Bold Coast Preserve

Bold Coast Preserve is located in the easternmost part of Maine along a rugged stretch of coastline. It offers dramatic views over the Atlantic Ocean and is characterized by its rocky cliffs and dense spruce-fir forests. The Preserve is a sanctuary for various wildlife species, including bald eagles and seals, which can often be seen along coastal trails. Historically, the area has been inhabited by Native American tribes and later used for logging and fishing industries. Today, it attracts visitors with its untouched natural beauty and opportunities for solitude. With several miles of trails, it provides excellent hiking opportunities with some trails leading to scenic overlooks and others weaving through deep forests. The Preserve’s appeal lies in its remote, wild landscape where the land meets the sea, making it a perfect spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts.
